Nike isn’t cashing in on the tech runner trend as much as competitors like New Balance and ASICS, but it’s not for a lack of trying. The Vomero 5 and Pegasus 2K5 were both focal points for the Beaverton brand in 2024, and moreover, Nike came out with upgraded versions of both models so as to broaden their appeal.
The Pegasus Wave isn’t touted as “Weatherized” like the Vomero 5 Roam, but extra padding across the base makes the 2005 runner more suitable for cold weather. The remixed model also features a TPU cage as opposed to the standard leather one, not to mention rope laces for added utilitarian appeal. This “Sail/Coconut Milk” colorway is basically the same as the inaugural release, save only for black as opposed to red Swoosh logos.
Mark your calendar for a January 23rd release via Nike and budget for a retail price of $160 upon arrival. See official images below and keep our Sneaker Release Dates page bookmarked to stay current on all the latest from the Swoosh.
