Welcome back and happy new year! While the actual weeks of the holidays drew the industry to something of a crawl before this, 2025 is opening up with a bang, as we’ve got a number of major releases to track.
Unquestionably the crown jewel of this slate is the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cat,” something we’ve considered a milestone on the 2025 Jordan Releases slate for years — just coincidentally, it’s also the first to come off the board. Additionally, as the “Year of the Snake” marches on as a motivating factor in the early goings of the year, one of its most compelling offerings lands with the Kobe 5 “Year of the Mamba” in “Eggplant,” one of two Protro drops coming this month.
Looking further down the slate reveals two notable New Balance collaborations, with JJJJound’s always-minimalistic aesthetic birthing a Gore-Tex 2002R and CNCPTS’ always-expressive ideals crafting the 740 “Brut.” We go back to Beaverton for the debut of the Air Max Craze and a host of notable GRs, including two new Air Max Sunder pairs and the return of the Nike Air Superfly.
The above preview gives you a decent sense of what’s on the way, but not the full scope. For that, you’ll need to scroll ahead for the entire list, with the hyperlinks attached under each shoe’s picture containing hyperlinks back to our original coverage — there you’ll find “Where To Buy” links to grab your pair of each upon arrival. For any additional late-breaking updates, keep an eye on our Jordan Release Dates 2025 and Sneaker Release Dates pages.
