The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon OG “Sport Red” Releases On December 20th

Back for the first time in eight years.

The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon OG “Sport Red” Releases On December 20th

The stage is set for the Nike Spiridon‘s next retro run. A SNKRS Showcase back in June 2024 tipped off the return of the 1997-born runner, and now with the holidays upon us, the Beaverton brand is ready to unleash a Fragment Design collab as well as the model’s original “Sport Red” colorway.

Official images of the 2024 “Sport Red” retro look promising. The shoe features “Metallic Silver” up top, an iridescent “Sport Red” Swoosh, and a textured black mudguard to match the lining and outsole. Moreover, these do right by the original with a subtle glittery finish on the midsole.

The “Sport Red” Spiridon most recently released in 2016 alongside a roster of additional colorways, with Nike choosing the archive the model towards the end of the decade. It’s sister silhouette in the Spiridon Cage 2 re-emerged by way of a Stüssy collaboration in 2020, earning high praise and considerable consumer interest.

The Spiridon’s latest retro run begins with two Fragment Spiridons in early December, with the “Sport Red” retro landing December 20th. We also previewed an Undefeated Spiridon coming in 2025, although no release date for that collab has been floated at this stage.
