Corteiz rules the Holiday season? Even with a highly populated end-of-year slate (the Lil Yachty Air Force 1, “Velvet Brown” Jordan 1, Jordan Jumpman Jack “Mocha,” the list goes on), the UK streetwear brand has managed to take center stage once again. After their staggered release of the Air Max 95 in 2023 captured “sneaker of the year” conversations, they’re adding heavy contenders to the discussion with the Corteiz Air Trainer Huarache, now revealed in “Light Bone.”
The new features from the inaugural edition remain: the embossed “C” monogram at the forefoot, the Swoosh stitched into the toe-box, a camouflage overhaul for the inner bootie, and full suede treatments across the shoe’s body. It’s genuinely a simple palette swap for the most part, swapping out the “Gully Grey” tonality for the “Light Bone” that steps into the light here. Speaking of, both of these colorways now emerging essentially confirms that the black version should be coming in short order; reporting from of Complex earlier this year tipped off that the trio of looks via internal Nike documents.
One thing that has already changed for the Coreiz Air Trainer Huarache “Light Bone” is the release particulars. The “Gully Grey” followed a relatively staid formula in its early goings, simply dropping via the Corteiz website (a wider SNKRS release is still pending.) To tip off this colorway, the brand hosted an in-person activation, pitting a select group of Manchester faithful against a maze, with the first 100 to solve it receiving a free pair of the shoes.
Concrete info for the online Corteiz drop and a wide release down the line remains unclear, but we expect the shoes to retail at $210, landing before the year is out. Stay tuned for more detailed info via this article and our Sneaker Release Dates page.
