LaMelo Ball’s dream season isn’t without controversy and dark moments; the Charlotte Hornets star guard was just fined $100,000 by the NBA for making an offensive and derogatory comment in a postgame interview after a win against the Milwaukee Bucks.

We’re certain this will be a learning experience for Puma’s most important and influential athlete in the American market, because a lot is riding on the ongoing success of his MB.04 signature shoe and the future of the line.

Although Puma has made no statements regarding the recent events, this MB.04 “Phoenix” is indeed set to release in stores during the first week of December. Like every other colorway of the latest LaMelo Ball shoes, the hoops model is doused in vibrant hues; this one in particular reflects the fiery colors of the phoenix, an ongoing colorway concept of the signature line.

Full family sizes in adult ($125), grade school ($105), and little kids ($85) are confirmed to launch on PUMA.com and select partners on December 6th.
