Original article published October 28th, 2024: It’s no secret that Salehe Bembury is one of the busiest figures in the sneaker world. On top of his company-shifting work with Crocs and a new position as creative director of PUMA Basketball, the NYC designer is marching on with his New Balance partnership. First teased back in June and soft launched with a limited run in Copenhagen, the Salehe Bembury New Balance 530 “Prosperity Be The Prize” gets a full release beginning on October 29th.

Following in the footsteps of his previous work with the Boston brand, Salehe Bembury taps an ultra-vibrant, almost gaudy palette for his first take on the New Balance 530. Hi-vis neon green notes are the dominant tonality, but a peach midsole, royal purple outsole and fuschia ABZORB pod in the midsole create an unquestionably eye-catching arrangement. A first for his NB catalog, his fingerprint signature appears inset into the “N” branding, calling to the footwear empire that the former Yeezy designer has built across a slew of brands.

Though most of Bembury’s collaborations are appointment drops, expect demand to be high for this latest one. His takes on the New Balance 1906R and New Balance 2002R command some of the highest gret market prices in each model’s history.
