LaMelo Ball, Tyrese Haliburton, And More Star In New PUMA Hoops Ad

It’s been a good few weeks for PUMA Hoops. Their biggest headlines, signing Tyrese Haliburton and recruiting Salehe Bembury as creative director of their basketball sub-brand, collided with some select social content in the days after. Now, PUMA is bringing together all their most notable signees for their widest spot yet.

Taking the viewer through a whirlwind of park venues, each of the German giant’s signature hoopers make an appearance, beginning with their longest-tenured, LaMelo Ball. After dapping up an alien to reference his “NOT FROM HERE” motto, LSU’s Flau’jae Johnson, projected to be a top pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, pulls up, having a brief back-and-forth with a literal Puma mascot. The animalistic/cartoonish theme continues with Scoot Henderson and Chester the Cheetah (see their collab on the Scoot Zero), as well as Breonna Stewart and a pack of GOATs. Finally, the newest face closes things out, delivering the newly minted PUMA Hoops motto: “See the game like we do.”

While the foremost purpose is ostensibly increasing the brand’s public recognizability, there will, of course, be a run-off effect for the actual footwear worn in this spot. The Stewie 3, MB.04, Scoot Zero and Haliburton’s choice for 2024-25, the PUMA Nitro Elite, all get their moment in the spotlight.
