The folks over at END. Clothing are masters of storytelling through sneakers, often linking up the adidas to execute their creative vision. We’ve seen two collaborative capsules touch down in 2024 thus far, once centered around fly fishing and another commemorating the 10th anniversary of adidas SPZL. Now continuing to draw inspiration from the most unassuming of places, the latest END. x adidas trio centers around a trip to the laundromat.
Have you ever accidentally thrown a brightly colored sock into a batch of white laundry? That’s essentially the theme behind the UK retailer’s latest adidas project. END. brings garment-dyed suedes to two silhouettes along with another in crisp white, delivering a tongue-in-cheek reference to the common laundry mishap. The Gazelle Indoor kicks things off in pastel pink, with the t-toe overlay sporting a darker hue for contrast. The recently re-introduced SL-72 offers an example of the pre-dying stage with an all-white leather and suede upper, diverging tastefully with gum soles underfoot. Last but not least, the delivery is complete with a soothing green Prototype TRX; a fresh version of the TRX Vintage that aligns better with the model’s original tooling from the 70s and 80s.
Cleverly working off the established theme, each pair comes with a garment-style tongue tag featuring END. x adidas co-branding. Moreover, the tongues themselves work in wide mesh netting so as to evoke laundry bags and the like. All told, the delivery hones in on a clever theme while maintaining just enough ambiguity for broad appeal.
The END. x adidas “Laundromat” capsule will release via an END. draw on October 25th alongside apparel by contemporary brand about:blank and custom scents by Earl of East. All three pairs retail for $125. Scroll through detailed images below and be sure to enter the draws before they close at 7:00 PM EST on 10/24.
