Nike Gives This Air Force 1 A Shaggy Suede Makeover

Bruce Kilgore’s design has been flipped and reimagined more times than anyone can possibly count, but the myriad of touches that have graced the Air Force 1 are still prone to mint new permutations. As winter draws nearer, the AF1 is threading the needle between an icy palette and warm hardware with its latest “Phantom” outfit.

True to our title here, long hair suede overlays are the main attraction executing neutral “Light Bone” in the process. The other section that delivers the steely grey shade is the tumbled leather underlays, the two material swaps combining for a luxe feel that contrasts the traditional sporty appeal of the AF1. A faux-vintage sole and “Summit White” trim close out the shoe, delivering an additional dose of snowy aesthetics. Though the suede hits here may make these a “special occasion” sort of affair as the weather becomes inclement, there’s no denying that the top notes this pair delivers are a perfect match for FW ‘fits.

The Nike Air Force 1 “Phantom” is likely to land this Holiday season- check out official images included below and watch our Sneaker Release Dates hub in the coming weeks for further updates.
