Fall is nearly upon us, the venerated season when we all can begin “really dressing.” However, while an expanded wardrobe and layered outfits expand the reach of your wardrobe, inclement conditions will functionally limit your sneaker rotation. If you’re an East Coaster, Timberlands are a time-tested and truly undefeated option, but perhaps consider something new this autumn. Official images just landed of the Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn “Wheat,” allowing you to bring the timeless appeal of Mike’s first signature with you no matter what the forecast says.

For those who haven’t caught wind of the booted takedown (takeup?) of the AJ1 before, the remnants of the 1985 classic are pretty easily identified: a perforated toe-box, a Nike air tongue tag, the slim Swoosh and the quarter panel that comes to a point via right angle stitching. It’s just as easy to parse the new changes, and the extended collar and gridded, embossed midsole design are matched here by a heavy dose of “Wheat” suede. The pre-existing appeal of the Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn, bringing platformed swagger to extend the range of the AJ1 to statement piece application, remains here, but with a cold weather overhaul sprinkled on top.

As with all previous Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn releases, this “Wheat” colorway will be limited to women’s sizing. Retail price is expected to remain at $165. Stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates hub for further info as we near this pair’s launch.
