adidas welds two of its foremost innovations in footwear with this 3D-printed ClimaCOOL, sneaker, offering a level of breathability and comfort that pushes the series to new heights. This one-piece silhouette also provides a peek into the future of adidas footwear design as it leans more towards the sustainability route championed by the brand’s Futurecraft initiatives.
adidas has long been pushing the envelope with its innovations, aiming to replicate the vaunted comfort & propulsion of BOOST while (literally) injecting ecologically-minded materials. Recent Futurecraft output combined STRUNG textiles up top with a 3D printed midsole; this edition eschews the former and seemingly stretches the latter for an all-over, seamless arrangement. The chunky, one piece hardware of this shoe elicits some comparison to product like the adifom Infinity, but don’t get caught up on precedent; this is a new proposition entirely.
According to @arab_lincoln, the footwear photographer extraordinaire who revealed the sneaker for the time, the shoes currently have no name as they arrived in an unmarked box. That said, we can presume a release sometime in 2025 closer to the Summer season.
