The adidas Harden Vol. 8 “Purple Burst” Drops This October

Way back in April, adidas Basketball parlayed the fact that a majority of their signed hoopers made the playoffs for a headline-worthy moment, officially unveiling the Anthony Edwards 1 Low, Dame 9 and D.O.N. Issue #6 at each player’s post-season opener. Though his silo had already been released, James Harden also got in on the action, dazzling with a “Purple Burst” colorway of his Harden Vol. 8 that tied in nicely to the dominant tones elsewhere in the collection.

The last of out the breaks from that playoff pack, that “Purple Burst” edition will finally hit the market this October. It’s a one-to-one replication of that game-worn pair, utilizing the sprightly titular shade in a heavy dose across the teardrop quarter cage and inner bootie anchoring system. A patent leather toe-box may still be the most eye-catching detail amid the flowery overall atmosphere, last seen on the “After Hours” outfit from July. In terms of performance, the Harden Vol. 8 still holds onto the BOOST and Lightstrike combination in its midsole, ensuring you’re able to replicate the MVP’s patented cuts and crossovers in your own runs.

The adidas Harden Vol. 8 “Purple Burst” is expected sometime in October, carrying its typical $160 retail price. Don’t lose track of our “Where to Buy” section in the meantime, as we’ll update with direct pick-up links upon arrival.
