Since at least 2022, the Nike Air Max 90 has stood proud among the Swoosh classics to receive waterproof treatments. At this stage, Gore-Tex is a fully expected portion of every Fall/Winter cycle out of Beaverton, and the AM90 is once again a central piece. Images have just surfaced of a “Racer Blue” Air Max 90 set to tip off in the coming weeks, sporting everybody’s favorite functional fabric.

It’s a smattering of cooler hues on tap to accompany the functional hardware here. “Cool Grey,” “Anthracite,” “Obsidian” and “Racer Blue” execute that side of the spectrum, contrasted by a pure white midsole and Swoosh in the margins. As with all Nike x Gore-Tex product, the materials company stamps their brand on this profile, cropping up on tongue and the rectangular cut-out towards the heel. Taken as a whole, this an easily-styled edition of the Air Max 90, primed to serve as an often-reached-for pair with the damp conditions of autumn & winter nearing closer.
