Yellow Ribbons Land On The Nike Air Max 90 Drift

A "Grey/Cargo Khaki" mix settles on the base.

Yellow Ribbons Land On The Nike Air Max 90 Drift

Nike has made its blueprint for future releases perfectly clear. In an effort to combat oversaturation and usher in a more diverse product line, the Beaverton brand will reduce stock of lifestyle classics like the Dunk Low and Air Force 1 and shift focus to new models like the Air Max Dn, archival hits like the Air Max Sunder, and offshoots of well-established mainstays. The last of those three categories includes the Nike Air Max 90 Drift, presented here in a “Grey/Cargo Khaki” mix for Fall 2024.

Introduced just a few months after its namesake counterpart in the Air Max Plus Drift hit shelves, the AM90 Drift stands out as an ambitious synthetic-heavy version of the Tinker Hatfield classic. Materials like suede, leather, and mesh are replaced by various TPU elements and healthy dose of ripstop here, aligning with techwear/gorpcore aesthetics over traditional 1990s sport footwear makeup. This colorway revolves primary around “Grey/Cargo Khaki” treatments for a clear workwear look and feel, spruced up by yellow ribboning that spans the full length of the forefoot as well as the tongue, heel, and backtab.

The Air Max 90 Drift “Grey/Cargo Khaki/Yellow” is expected to hit shelves Fall 2024 for $160; scroll through official images below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse other upcoming drops by the Beaverton brand.
