Sub-Zero Temps Hit The Nike Air Max 90 LV8 “Glacier Blue”

Seemingly more than any other product umbrella under the Swoosh, the Nike Air Max line has championed retooled models. Be it the Air Max Plus Drift, the Nike Air Max 95 Futura or the model in question, the Nike Air Max 90 LV8, classic cushioned designs aren’t held sacred as Beaverton attempts to widen their appeal to new demos. The women’s exclusive LV8 has eyes on cooling things down in its latest colorway, founded on icy “Glacier Blue.”

While the baby blue accents that coat the heel, outsole and synthetic mudguard and make for the most eye-catching sections, the full piece here embraces a chilly atmosphere. Snow white hits stand out most on the midsole and laces, while tinted off-white “Sail” lands on the extended ribbed plate around the two air bubbles and the lower eyestay.

In contrast to Nike silos that bring together both exaggerated construction and eccentric looks, this pair elucidates how they’ve been content to let the sized-up hardware of the Nike Air Max 90 LV8 speak for itself, keeping the colorways in complementary, accessible territory.

The Nike Air Max 90 LV8 “Glacier Blue” is expected to pop up on Nike.com and at select retailers in the short-term future, carrying a $145 price tag. Check out official images in the meantime just ahead.
