As the calendar turns from July to August, back-to-school shopping gets kicked into high gear. Picking out fresh sneakers for school is a common core memory among sneakerheads of all ages, and thankfully for little ones and their parents, Nike’s Fall 2024 selection is packed with playful kids pairs. This grade school Air Jordan 1 Low is perfect for the car-obsessed; available now via Nike for $110.
Comprising a duo alongside a Jordan 1 Mid GS of the same design theme, the AJ1 Low “Racing” speaks to motorsport aesthetics through a variety of thoughtful touches. Eyes are first drawn to the base of the shoe, which appears to be crafted out of a ballistic blue textile in a potential nod to the carbon fiber exteriors of high-octane vehicles. The laces and insoles, however, leave less open to interpretation. Both feature checkerboard patterns taken after finish lines, with black/teal on the laces and a traditional black/white mix inside, the latter of which boasts unique racing-inspired “23” branding.
Capping off a series of thoughtful treatments; black Swoosh logos boast a pavement-like texture and the tongue and heel branding add even more sporty flair in hot pink. Otherwise, the design is complete with white leather overlays and a white/black midsole-outsole combo.
As mentioned, these are available now via Nike in grade school sizing for $110. See our “Where To Buy” section below for purchase links.
