A quick hit of history: the Air Jordan 11 “Legend Blue” was originally dubbed as the Air Jordan 11 “Columbia”. Michael Jordan’s only known instance of wearing these in an NBA came during the 1996 NBA All-Star Game in Phoenix. Due to the white/blue colorway, Jordan Brand never wore these as a member of the Chicago Bulls nor the Washington Wizards.
Nike, Inc. originally released the Air Jordan 11 “Columbia” during the AJXI’s original run in 1996; it released again as a Retro for the first time in 2001. Fast forward to 2014, Jordan Brand delivered them again as “Legend Blue”.
