Original article posted June 26th, 2024: Though graduation season has largely come and gone for all ages, Nike isn’t letting up in their newest initiative; bringing yearbook graphics to some of their most iconic silhouettes. The Air Force 1 “Notebook Scribbles” has already hit shelves, and we just got a look at the Nike Air Max 90 of the same title just days ago. Now, the slate gets one deeper with a corresponding Nike Air Max 1.

In the rollout for this “pack,” our understanding of the uniting theme has shifted. of course, the doodle-heavy insoles are the true centerpiece, but the shoes included have jumped from an emphasis on forest green to burgundy and now, navy blue. It seems likely that it’s intended to reflect cap & gown styles, with the off-white tonality that dresses the upper evoking glossy, off-white stock. For this Air Max 1, the material changes are the most transformative we’ve seen in the collection so far, pasting heavy duty denim-like fabric on the mudguard while sewing the Swoosh in more plush, felt-like material.

AS we saw with the AF1, the Nike Air Max 1 “Notebook Scribbles” will likely appear on Nike.com in the coming weeks. We’re likely to see both GS & men’s sizing for this edition, with the adult pair hovering in the $150 range.
