The New Balance 990v4 MADE In USA “Hi-Lite” Arrives June 7th

Neon shading marks one of the final SS24 drops.

The New Balance 990v4 MADE In USA “Hi-Lite” Arrives June 7th

Though drops like the Action Bronson New Balance 1906R and Aime Leon Dore New Balance 1000 certainly steal the headlines, the enduring appeal of the Boston company’s product for decades has centered on quality. Nowhere is that more in focus than in the MADE in USA Summer 2024 slate, the latest collection for Teddy Santis’ premium line. Next up on the docket is the New Balance 990v4, making good on the vibrant colorway previewed back in February.

In contrast to the “Arctic Grey” and “Macadamia Nut,” also included in the SS24 slate, this layout embraces the layered construction of the model. It pins the titular neon hue on its suede overlays, leaving the underlying sections to a traditional blend of neutrals. Cool complements come with the “Deep Ocean” leather that slides in between, additionally peeking out on the tongue and heel.  A faux-aged midsole rounds out the composition, adding an extra boost of retro appeal. While most of the collection released so far has leaned on the essential aesthetics of Santis’ ALD work, this penultimate drop is seasonal as can be, bringing a ton of summery appeal alongside the sub-brand’s enduring material bonafides.

The New Balance 990v4 “Hi-Lite” is set to launch June 7th via NewBalance.com and partnering retailers, retailing for $210. Check out official images just ahead and keep our “Where To Buy” section handy for direct links of drop day.
