Original article posted April 18th, 2024: The Nike Killshot II put on one of the best sneaker revival tours of the modern era a few years back, ascending from the archives to become one of Nike’s best sellers in the late 2010s. The retro tennis shoe typically consists of a white leather base, grey suede overlays, gum soles, and a pop of color on the Swoosh. That’s why this Air Force 1 looks so familiar.

While it’s probably a stretch to say the Killshot II directly inspired this pair, the similarities are too apparent to ignore, especially since the “Malachite” hue of the Swoosh and heel matches perfectly with one of the Killshot’s most popular colorways. White leather encompasses the base layer, while “Phantom” suede overlays take over the toe, eyelet, and heel panels to round out the upper. Staying on task, a light gum sole completes the shoe underfoot.
