The Nike Pegasus 41 is the newest model in the long-running and storied running shoe line by Nike. The Pegasus 41 running shoe officially debuted in Paris in the “Blueprint” colorway; several other styles have also been revealed below. Nike confirms a release beginning June 2024 with an MSRP of $140.

We’re now over 40 years into the Nike Pegasus line, yearly iterations building on the foundation first established in 1983. That annual schedule makes each new edition something of a time capsule, highlighting the latest Nike technologies and tacitly delivering new focus points out of Beaverton. Fresh off of a comprehensive Air showcase in Paris, the just-unveiled Nike Pegasus 41 informs what to expect from Nike moving forward, and how their latest innovations can give you a boost on the track.

The key development on the silhouette is the addition of ReactX foam, a technology introduced last year via the Nike InfinityRN 4. The material is said to deliver 13% more energy while requiring 40% less energy in manufacturing, a “key middle ground between environmental impact and performance.” Considering past Pegasus editions have heavily relied on similar performance React foam, the switch should only be noticeable in the positive. The full-length ReactX unit is met by Air unit under the heel and forefoot, blending two of Nike’s chief running innovations. Above, the weaved upper of past editions sticks around, giving way from heavier structural knit to perforated sections on the lateral side and at the toe to increase breathability.

It’s only natural to compare this shoe to its predecessor in the Nike Pegasus 40, and the radically different sole unit sticks out most in that regard. However, the overall shape elsewhere remains relatively constant, promising that this new edition to the Pegasus family will prove an easy adjustment for any long-time devotee.
