A Flamin’ Hot Collaboration: Cheetos Teams Up With Puma for the Scoot Zero

Updated February 14th, 2024: A third Puma x Cheetos shoe has surfaced by way of a new Puma RS-X. All pairs will release via Puma.com and the Puma app on February 16th via the shopping links below.

Just a few months into his rookie NBA season, Scoot Henderson is checking off another major career accomplishment. He and PUMA are teaming up with Cheetos to deliver a capsule collection that brings the brand’s neon orange to his signature shoe.

Though having only made his official debut in October, Scoot Henderson already stands as one of the key components for PUMA’s basketball platform. His PUMA Scoot Zero first arrived in a “Georgia Peach” colorway that paid homage to his upbringing. This latest collab again puts his personality on the forefront, donning his on-court go-tos with all kinds of imagery from the corner store snack. Most easily apparent are the medial flares, mirrored on the front of the shoe that allude to the company’s Flamin’ Hot line. In the same way, Chester’s cheetah print plays no small part in the shoe’s design, literally taking center stage on the side panel.

While the Scoot Zero is no doubt the headliner in this announcement, Cheetos and Puma are putting together a true collection around the Scoot Zero, starting with a similarly constructed Puma Suede Classic. There, the resulting shoe is more modest in structure, simply placing the same cheetah print down the side of an all-suede upper. It’s in the margins where the explicit Cheetos imagery comes, with their logo written down the sole and alongside PUMA branding on the tongue.

PUMA themselves have announced that an eight-piece apparel collection and a branded RS-X will be dropping alongside those two shoes, but official images have yet to arrive. Retail prices for each piece of the pack will range from $45 to $115.

For what it’s worth, Scoot isn’t the only signed athlete getting a collab in recent weeks- check out LaMelo Ball’s team up with Porsche for his Puma MB.03.
