The Nike LeBron 4 “Fruity Pebbles” Appears In Football Cleat Mode

Updated February 13th, 2024: LeBron James’ iconic “Fruity Pebbles” Nike LeBron 4 is resurfacing in a big way in 2024. Originally conceived as a player exclusive at the dawn of The King’s career in 2006, the acclaimed design is now set to receive its first wider release later this spring. On top of that, Nike now prepares to debut a Nike LeBron 4 Menace cleat of the same flavor.

The “Fruity Pebbles” LeBron 4 cleats initially went viral last November following LeBron sending a pair to Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, although it was unknown at the time whether or not the shoes would make their way out of the player exclusive category. That appears to change come Spring 2024, as newly surfaced images below reveal the latest Nike Football installment in all its glory.

The following was published in November of 2023:

Throughout the past year, LeBron James has embarked upon the beginnings of his retro collection with Nike featuring the return of former exclusive colorways in expanded stock numbers. Building anticipation for the return of the Nike LeBron 4 “Fruity Pebbles”, the four-time NBA Champion recently gifted Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase with an exclusive cleated version of the Spring 2024 release tooled for the gridiron.

Housed within a cobranded Fruity Pebbles and Nike box, the crisp white packaging features the same graphic of LeBron dunking on Fred Flinstone that graced the Nike Dunk Lows introduction to the growing joint-roster with the cereal brand. Mirroring the original circa 2006 silhouette’s crisp white upper, the colorful pattern of cereal flakes coats the full-length mudguard in a true-to-form reissue. Underfoot, the Vapor Edge begins to differ from the mid-2000s on-court tooling with a glossy “University Blue” studded tread and pull tabs. In contrast, a duo of crimson-red swooshes animates the heel and outsole while additionally treating the slightly shrouded rope laces above.

The Nike LeBron 4 “Fruity Pebbles” is currently scheduled to be released in the spring of 2024. In the meantime, check out the Nike LeBron 4 Vapor Edge interpreation below.

For more co-branded releases, the McDonald’s Crocs collection releases tomorrow, November 14th.
