You Can Now Add Nike’s Killshot “Grey Suede” To The #MidtownUniform

A relic of 1979, the Nike Killshot has enjoyed second and third lives off the courts. J.Crew helped popularized the sneaker’s sequel, but the last four years have seen the original style return in a mix of old and new school styles.

Made for tennis, racquetball, and squash, Nike’s Killshot replaced leather of traditional performance sneakers with breathable mesh. In addition to delivering improved ventilation, the Swoosh’s offering provided a more flexible feel and lighter weight. Two-tone color schemes helped non-athletes enjoy the sleek model throughout the 1980s, culminating in the menswear space being taken over by the Killshot 2 in 2009. The latest makeover abandons a mesh construction in favor of a hairy suede build across the upper. Additionally, the design takes on a tonal bluish-grey finish that offers a versatile aesthetic.

Underfoot, the old school traction pattern and accompanying midsole opts for a uniform look that matches the sneaker’s top-half well. Together, each aforementioned component creates a simple, but refreshing ensemble in a sea of “White/[Accent Color]/Gum” shoes.

No firm nike.com launch details have been disclosed by the brand as of this writing, but that’s likely to change soon. While you wait, enjoy official photography of the shoes ahead. The Killshot is priced at $110 USD.
