Fat Joe’s Terror Squad x Nike Air Force 1 Surfaces In “Grey/Pink”

Fat Joe’s influence on sneaker culture rang true once again this past September when the South Bronx native added a monochrome version to his iconic Terror Squad x Air Force 1 lineage. Simultaneously appearing in a New York-exclusive “Porpoise” colorway, the classic low-top trim was also prepared in a “Grey/Pink” ensemble.

Courtesy of CNCPTS creative director Deon Point, preview imagery showcases a somewhat true-to-form reissue of the OG 2005 concept. Initially gifted to Terror Squad member, Macho, in the mid-2000s, the Bruce Kilgore design returns albeit with “JC” embroidered heel tabs as opposed to the original’s “MACHO” inscription. The remaining real estate, however, executes a compelling resurgence of the primordial pair as the pebble grain leather overlays and laces are cast in a dark grey contrast to the presiding crisp white base layer. Complimented by a semi-translucent outsole underfoot – in place of the former’s gum treatment – the trim of the profile swooshes alongside the “TS” heel insignia and the midsole’s stitching is treated to a light pink finish.

While it remains to be seen if the aforementioned colorway will receive a broader release or was strictly reserved as a Friends & Family exclusive, the Terror Squad x Air Force 1 “Grey/Pink” can be seen ahead in first-look imagery.

For more archival compositions, the Nike Air Foamposite One “Royal” is set to return in 2024.
