It’s official: UNDEFEATED has arrived in New York City.
A mainstay of the West Coast’s streetwear scene, the label has gone from a single storefront in Los Angeles to having doors in Las Vegas, Japan, and China over the last 21 years. Co-founders James Bond and Eddie Cruz are both from the East Coast, with Cruz hailing from the Bronx.
“It’s been a goal of ours since day one to open a New York City location and we’re excited after 21 years to be opening our doors here in the city,” said Bond in an official press release shared with Sneaker News. “We appreciate everyone along the way who have [sic] been a part of the UNDEFEATED family and are looking forward to continuing to build our brand and community on the east coast.”
UNDEFEATED NYC is located at 75 Kenmare Street New York, NY 10012 and opened to the public today, September 8th. The shop will operate until 7pm (local time). To kick off its arrival in the “Big Apple,” Bond, Cruz, and team have prepped New York-specific capsules – including the Converse Weapon “NYC,” New Eras Yankees collection, Union NYC collaboration, and NYC t-shirts. The store has been brought to life with the help of Schimenti Construction, which ensured the 75 Kenmare Street locale featured the dark-colored, Venetian-plastered walls Bond and Cruz wanted. Original artwork is also on display at the shop, alongside unique Richlite panels, stainless steel shelves and hang bars, and stone-finished floors.
