“Red Stardust” Lands On The Nike Air Max 1

“Red Stardust” Lands On The Nike Air Max 1

It’s hard to imagine the Swoosh without the Nike Air Max 1 given how many designs have included visible Air cushioning over the last 36 years.

As Tinker Hatfield’s iconic creation inches closer to its 40th birthday, it’s taken on dozens of refreshing color schemes, with several of the most-coveted being women’s-exclusive. Recently, a “Red Stardust,” “Cedar,” “Sail,” and ‘Coconut Milk” ensemble landed on the original Air Max sneaker, bringing another refreshing take to the model. “Colorless” textile bases set the stage for a number of suede panels in shades of red across the upper. Mudguards, profile swooshes, and upper eyelets take on the darkest shade of the mix; branding on the top of the tongue and spine follow suit. Tried-and-proven sole units deviate in an off white hue that injects a “vintage” touch into the shoe. Air bubbles opt for a “Coconut Milk” finish that complements the remainder of the midsole and outsole combination.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch soon. The women’s offering is priced at $150 USD.
