Over the past few years, Nike Sportswear has released several of its most popular silhouettes in collections inspired by basketball and its culture. Ahead of summer, the Air Max Plus has appeared with chain link fence graphics, seemingly nodding to the outdoor courts found across New York and other cities.
Unlike previous Air Max propositions prepped with similar details, the latest offering features a bold color scheme across the upper. A gradient finish injects shades of blue into Sean McDowell’s historic creation, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The chain link pattern opts for a white hue that contrasts the pitch-black TPU overlays nearby, as well as the textured mudguards underneath. The bulk of the sole unit also favors a dark-colored arrangement, but visible Air units and mid-foot shanks further expand the Nike Air Max Plus‘ affinity for bold blue flair.
No firm nike.com launch details have been shared by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official photos of the pair in Grade School sizing ahead.
