Michael Le Jewel Swooshes are one of Nike’s many specialities, having appeared on several of their most iconic silhouettes. And after dressing the Air Force 1 for its “Color of the Month” series, the modified logo is now making its way back to the Air Max 90.
Beyond its Jewel Swooshes — which embellish both the lateral and medial side of the shoe — this Air Max 90 is kept aesthetically understated. White leathers are applied to the quarter and mudguard, matching not only the mesh inserts underneath but also the adjacent lace unit, midsole, and the like. Touches of grey, then, come in over top, specifically highlighting the silhouette’s usual branding as well as the outsole, the heel tab, and the area just around the bottom’s Air Unit.
