The Vans Old Skool LX “Love Wins” Is Akin To A Patchwork Quilt

Vans is no stranger to reinterpreting their most iconic properties. Alongside deconstructing classics the likes of the Sk8-Hi, the brand has presented many a different variation of their signature checkerboard print. The newly-released Old Skool LX “Love Wins” is but another example of their creativity, as it turns the aforementioned pattern into something akin to a patchwork quilt.

With the exception of the sole, tongue, and laces, the Vans Old Skool LX “Love Wins” leaves no part of its exterior blank. The pair is filled to the brim with many a bold color, each meticulously stitched onto the upper in the general image of the checkerboard pattern. And while some may fit perfectly into the shape of a square, some threads bleed far outside their borders, resulting in an intentionally imperfect, more handmade feel.

Enjoy a look at the Vans Old Skool LX “Love Wins” for yourself via the retailer imagery ahead. If you’d like to add a pair to your collection, they’re available now at select retailers.

In other news, a Zack Bia Air Max Pulse is inexplicably in the works.
