Sneaker News Throughout most of its collaborative catalog with Nike, Japanese fashion imprint COMME des GARÇONS has opted for simplicity, as clearly seen through its all-black, all-white. and simple white-black takes. For their upcoming Terminator High release, they’re inserting a bit of history by staying true to the collegiate origins of the model by introducing three team-friendly colorways.
The Terminator High was the first Nike sneaker to debut for a college as it was unveiled in the grey/navy colorway for the Georgetown Hoyas. It set the precedented for the entire Be True To Your School campaign that is more commonly associated with the Dunk High, but the predecessor from 1983 is what deserves that distinction. In homage of the Terminator’s significance, CDG presents an easy white/black, white/navy, and white/red colorway with an enlarged CDG acronym at the left heel to balance with the big NIKE branding on the right shoe. Additionally, the mainstay triple-swoosh detailing will appear on the insoles of the premium leather shoes.
The official announcement of the release is bolstered by this funky AI-generated campaign created by Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Karl Bolander of House + Holme, with an accompanying film directed by creative agency CLOSER.
A release is scheduled for April 1st exclusively at COMME des GARÇONS and Dover Street Market locations globally, followed by a wider release at select retailers at a later date. Sizes range from Mens 5/Womens 6.5 to Men 13/Womens 14.5.
