The New Balance 550 Receives A Vintage Wash Of “Sea Salt”

Proffering a multitude of inline collections and honorary embellishments, the New Balance 550 continues to pave the way for the Boston brand’s slate of simplified offerings. After kicking off the year with a Lunar New Year collection, the aforementioned silhouette is gearing up for a subsequent run of tried-and-true propositions, such as this pairing of “Sea Salt” and “Team Royal”.

Near identical in its choice of color blocking when compared to its currently available “Team Royal” effort, the once crisp white base layer now indulges in a muted Off-White hue across its perforated upper, tongue construction and laces. The former’s enjoyment of a vibrant blue “N” logo, tongue tab branding and 550 insignia renders an unchanged placement whereas the heel tab now explores a jet-black base and titular blue suede accent. Returning the vintage aesthetic to a crisp white treatment along its midsole, further pitch-dark branding appears along the heel counter while underfoot the tread initially constructed for the hardwood flaunts finishing blue shades at its toe and heel in conclusion.

While we sit tight on further release details, enjoy official images of the upcoming New Balance 550 “Sea Salt/Team Royal” below in the meantime.
