The Nike Air Force 1 Mid has historically been ridiculed, but the silhouette has taken the 40th anniversary of Bruce Kilgore’s original design as an opportunity to dress up in handfuls of compelling outfits.
Recently, the mid-top trim of the “presidential” basketball shoe emerged in a mix of “Limestone” and “Rattan” hues, delivering an autumn-friendly look appropriate of Travis Scott‘s wardrobe (La Flame has been a high-profile proponent of the Mid as of late). Smooth and tumbled leather come together on the pair’s upper, allowing for the sole unit to indulge in a clean “Summit White/Light Gum Brown” color combination that falls in line with some other Air Force 1 styles that’ve surfaced over the last seven months. Together, each aforementioned component helps create a familiar, but refreshing ensemble that’s sure to combat some of the slander the mid-top trim of Kilgore’s 1982-creation has received since debuting in 1994.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch before 2022 ends.
