Although the Air Jordan 1 could simply rely on original colorways in order to be one of the most-coveted sneakers of the moment, the silhouette continues experimenting with tones, builds and more.
Recently, the model’s Retro High OG trim – one that closely resembles the later Peter Moore’s 37-year-old blueprint – appeared in a “White/Starfish”-heavy ensemble that screams “summer.” Yet, if reliable sneaker sleuths are right, the pair is set to release as part of the Fall/Winter Air Jordan lineup. Akin to “Shattered Backboard” propositions of yesteryear, the upcoming retro features a “colorless” base layer that allows for even the slightest contrast throughout the upper to revel in the spotlight. Bright orange, then, has no problem stealing the show, working in-tandem, with “Sail” and deep brown to keep the ensemble relatively easy to swallow. Underfoot, the Jordan 1 opts for a slightly-yellowed midsole, nodding to the sneaker’s debut era.
Enjoy in-hand images of the pair ahead, courtesy of Instagram user @sneakerknockerzllc, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS release in September for $170 USD.
