Nike Further Updates The Space Hippie 04 With An “Oreo” Colorway

While a notable amount of savvy sneaker enthusiasts has publicized its dislike of how Nike has handled the Space Hippie 04 since debuting it in June 2020, the silhouette continues to emerge in new ensembles.

Having recently undergone modifications to its original design, the geared-towards-women model has appeared in a “Black” and “Tech Grey” color palette reminiscent of the Air Jordan 4 “Oreo.” Space Yarn construction throughout the upper mostly indulges in a pitch-dark look, though knitting at the tongue, lateral swoosh and spine introduce some light grey contrast into the mix. Akin to the aforementioned basketball sneaker, the upcoming Nike Space Hippie proposition boasts a speckled midsole, which makes the “Oreo” nickname that much more appropriate. The latest iteration of the Crater Foam material introduced in mid-2020 features a smoother aesthetic, suggesting Nike’s up-cycling process has been revisited over the last two years. Nike Grind underfoot maintains its predominantly dark grey composition, with swoosh wheel logos underneath the spine nodding to the “Move to Zero” initiative.
