With the popularity of both hiking-inspired footwear and the Nike ACG line, we are bound to see our favorite lifestyle classics undergo outdoor-friendly makeovers. Next to receive such transformation is the Nike Air Max 90. Not only is the Max Air silhouette dressed in a mix of sandy hues but is also assuming a more tactical build to craft a new model that is the Nike Air Max 90 Terrascape.
This “Hot Curry” AM 90 Terrscape emerges shortly after the reveal of another pair in a “Pink Glaze” colorway. Similar to its predecessor in materials, the new style covers its base in gridded nylon. Suede overlays in a matching shade are used, with the eyelets and mudguards opting for semi-translucent TPU builds. For a tactical look, the usual profile Swooshes are swapped out for oversized nylon ones that extend beyond the heel tab. Both the orange heel tab and midsole see a speckled design that results from the use of recycled content. The “Move To Zero” Pinwheel logo printed on the insole further solidifies the assumption that sustainable materials are found throughout the design. To round out the trail-inspired look, a translucent midsole sees Regrind rubber underfoot for eco-friendly added traction.
Take a closer look at the Air Max 90 Terrascape below, which will arrive at Nike.com in the coming months with a price tag of $150.
In other Swoosh-related news, the Nike Air Max Plus is also receiving the Terrascape treatment.
