The Nike Air Max Plus “First Use” Gets A Refreshing University Blue Makeover

With the Swoosh being one of the world’s most recognized logos, Nike undoubtedly cherishes and understands the value of the check. So when it comes to celebrating the 50th anniversary of the symbol, it’s unsurprising to see the brand go all out with the extensive “First Use” pack that continues to grow. Adding to the collection is a Nike Air Max Plus that flaunts a University Blue look.

UNC’s Carolina Blue tints the entirety of the neoprene upper, with the patent leather toeguard and suede mudguards repping the same shade. Although noth sides sport a blue Swoosh piece, the medial side is where details that comprise the “First Use” pack are found. Such elements include the white Swoosh outline that sits under the plastic overlay and text reading “First use June 18, 1971.” Furthermore, the pair uses a gold lace dubrae found on other models within the collection. A University Blue gradient midsole piece rounds out this tonal model that stylishly commemorates one of the most iconic examples of branding.
