The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Court Purple” Nods To The Original “Metallic” Release From 1985

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Court Purple” Nods To The Original “Metallic” Release From 1985

With the likes of the highly sought-after Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Neutral Grey” and the recently-revealed Air Jordan 1 “Shadow 2.0,” notable colorways of MJ’s first signature sneaker have been revived or remixed throughout 2021. Joining the roster is the upcoming AJ1 Retro High OG “Court Purple,” in which the Jordan Brand cites the 1985 OG “Metallic Purple” as the source of inspiration.

First teased in June 2020, this new arrangement comes quite close to the aforementioned pair. It flaunts white leather uppers that are contrasted by the iconic metallic purple found on the collar, Swoosh, and branded elements on the tongue and ankle. Meanwhile, a matching Court Purple outsole adds an additional hint of color to the design. The major difference lies in the sock liner, where satin is introduced rather than opting for the standard cloth. This results in a fresh update to a classic, which will be delivered in extended women’s and kids’ sizing.

Take a look at the Air Jordan 1 below while you wait for the pair to arrive at the listed retailers on June 3rd, as part of the Jordan Brand Summer 2021 Retro collection.

In other news, the Air Jordan 11 Low “Legend Blue” has also been revealed for the summer.
