Himalayan Rhubarb Added To Nike Sportswear’s “Plant Dye” Collection

Himalayan Rhubarb Added To Nike Sportswear’s “Plant Dye” Collection

Add another index card to Nike’s plant-focused collection of footwear. With a focus on sustainable coloring methods allowed by plant dyes, Nike has placed these multi-faceted resources in the spotlight be featuring them proudly on the Air Force 1 Low. Newly added to the garden is the Himalayan rhubarb, typically used to dye garments a yellowish to brownish hue. Like the other members of Nike Sportswear’s “Plant Dye” collection, the leafy portions are embroidered on the heel, while a descriptive text is printed above the Nike Air logo on the heel.

Clearly, the Plant Dye Pack has proven to be rather expansive, and there’s no telling what other styles will be revealed. Now, it’s just a matter of a release date. No word yet, but a late Spring/early Summer seems like an obvious launching point given the connection between botany and the season of blossom. See the official images ahead and stay tuned for updates.
