The Nike Air Vapormax EVO Does Its Best “Infrared” Attempt

Oftentimes, Nike’s newer silhouettes follow in the footsteps of their predecessors. In color — and, at times, construction — the releases offer their best impressions, with some able to come uncannily close. Today, the Air Vapormax EVO is taking the stage, mimicking the Air Max line’s ever-iconic “Infrared” scheme.

More an interpretation than a straight-up copy, the colorway arrives quite distinct despite making use of the very same palette. White, almost cream-pigmented leathers and mesh create a neutral foundation, while the titular neon spotlights the oversized Swoosh, the heel’s dual-layered pull, and the “NIKE” branding embedded into the tongue. Elsewhere, black supports add further visual dimension atop the toe box, vamp, instep, and the profile, contrasting both the aforementioned details as well as the greyed mudguard and icy blue Vapormax sole.

For a closer look, see below. This Vapormax EVO should be releasing at retailers and Nike.com very soon.

In other news, a Mustard New Balance 920 is also on the way.
