Jovani Hernandez Since rejoining the ranks of the Swoosh’s most popular silhouettes over the last five years, the Nike Blazer Mid ’77 has mostly favored versatile, two-tone colorways. More recently, however, the model has undergone experimentation of Nike Sportswear’s D/MS/X imprint, with the latest creation being a multi-color arrangement featuring various shades of blue.
Smooth “Deep Royal Blue” leather sets the stage for the contrasting hues that take over complementary accents throughout the upper. Rubber overlays on the lateral forefoot and profiles indulge not only in a light blue, but also in “Chile Red” and a rich yellow tone. Reinforcement around the toe and at the heel forgo any eye-catching color in favor of a muted grey, but branding throughout the pair further boasts vibrant personality. As a nod to its ’70s heyday, the Blazer Mid-variant rounds out its colorful ensemble with an off-white sole unit.
