First Look At The Supreme x Nike Air Max 96

First Look At The Supreme x Nike Air Max 96

In their years together, Supreme and Nike have established a relationship replete with some of the most noteworthy collaborative releases of all-time. From their now critically acclaimed SB Dunks to the shut down release of their boldly-colored foams, the two have made history in a vast number of ways. Now, in a vein similar to a few of their past releases, the duo are preparing to help bring back yet another relatively obscure classic: the Air Max 96.

Though GRs have surfaced by way of leaks a bit prior, it’s likely the model’s upcoming collaboration with the the streetwear maven will spearhead a number of more accessible releases. While the latter set will bring about the return of OG palettes and the like, Supreme’s rendition takes an appropriately unique approach in terms of construction. Much like many a see-through relic — ones nodded to by CDG and Blondey McCoy more recently — the pair applies translucent panels to its side profile, these accents placed right along the spots where mesh would typically outfit. Navy leathers then construct around in semi-original form, crafting a neutral frame on which the bright red accents and heel-placed metallic silver box logos can stand out.

Grab a quick look at these right here and expect to learn more about the release very soon.

In other news, WTAPS Vans are releasing again for the first time in two years.
