This Nike PG 4 “Pickled Pepper” Is Inspired By Chinese Hot Sauce

After undergoing a few endeavors with everyone’s favorite sports beverage in Gatorade, Paul George is taking his footwear inspirations elsewhere in within the food world to explore something a little more piquant.

Arguably the brightest PG 4 to-date, this forthcoming colorway is entitled the “Pickled Pepper” as this is George’s nickname amongst Chinese hoop fans. Playing off the theme, Nike supplies the heels of this rendition with Chinese lettering atop the left side heel which in English, translates to “hot sauce”.  Its upper mesh constructions are split between two vibrant yellow and orange hues; the former of which wraps from the lateral mid-foot to the medial side, while the latter coats the rear sections which can be interpreted as the colors of the off-brand bottles that you might find in your local H-Mart. In terms of additional details to point out, you’ll find that the bright green Swooshes have been decorated with abstractly-shaped molds, while the footbeds host the signature “PG” logo against a Far Eastern-inspired symbol. Peep a closer look here, and find these hitting retailers in China on August 15th for $110 USD.
