While relatively novel among adidas‘ footwear arsenal, the ZX 2K 4D has gotten notable praise for its sleek design, modern comfort, and heritage. Its latest iteration boasts all of these qualities, but in a sure-to-sell-out triple “Core Black” arrangement.
Like a previous pair of the 4D Run 1.0, the forthcoming Three Stripes option covers its mixed-materials upper and latticed-cushioning in a rather tonal palette. The ZX 2K 4D, however, features molded overlays at the forefoot and along the tongue that interrupt the “Core Black” color scheme with their dark grey makeup. Rope laces indulge in speckling (possibly reflective) of the same hue, but no other component on the pair does. Underfoot, midsoles – which have been crafted with light, oxygen, and liquid resin – forgo their inaugural “Aero Green” composition in favor of an all-“Core Black” equivalent; outsoles follow suit.
A stateside adidas.com launch may be in the works, but this ZX 2K 4D is currently scheduled to launch in Europe on July 31st. In either case, enjoy official images of the pair here below.
