This NikeCourt Tech Challenge 20 Could Be Inspired By Agassi’s Air Flare

Launched in February, the NikeCourt Tech Challenge 20 has recently arrived in a “White/Persian Violet/Black” colorway reminiscent of Andre Agassi’s Nike Air Flare from 1994.

The modern spin on the iconic Nike Air Tech Challenge II boasts a “Black” makeup from vamp to collar, just like the original Air Flare, which last retroed in 2015. “NIKE” branding on the tongue indulges in “Persian Violet” flair that also takes over the Swoosh logo on the modified, herringbone-pattern outsole. Elsewhere, branding across the lateral forefoot, medial midfoot, and heel are also clad in “Black,” though none mimics the Air Flare’s original reverse Swoosh. The Tech Challenge 20‘s synthetic leather upper and rubber sole unit forgo the dark and rich for a pristine “White” arrangement; Air Max units at the heel further add to the release’s predominant “yin-and-yang” scheme.
