Ronnie Fieg Teases A New Balance 992 “Steel Blue”

Though not forthright on its details, Ronnie Fieg has teased yet another New Balance release by way of his social media. After shock dropping a pair of 990v2s quite a bit ago, the KITH head seems to be diverting his attention to the oft-collaborated 992 which is fresh off the heels of its WTAPS partnership. Though quick, the glimpse gives way to the forthcoming offering’s overall colorway: a striking homage to the “Steel Blue” 1300 that is one of the designer’s all-time favorites. As such, dark navy suedes appropriately run replete throughout the construction, wrapping from the heel to the toe cap. “N” logos are threaded at their edge with lighter blues, accenting in tandem with the matching “992” and “USA” embroideries. Elsewhere, light grey mesh is overlaid by thinly cut smooth leather panels whose cream tones give off a subtle vintage appeal. Grab a detailed look at these right here, and as it’s possible these will see a KITHSTRIKE release, be sure to stay on your toes moving forward.

In other news, the New Balance 327 is releasing in GR colorways later this month.
