Unveiled early last month, the Jordan Max 200 XX abandons the uniformity of its debut “Barely Volt” and “Barely Rose” arrangements on an upcoming multi-color version.
Uppers on the women-exclusive model are typically constructed with a mix of synthetic leather and mesh, but this pair forgoes both. Instead, forefoot, midfoot and ankle panels boast a ballistic nylon assembly done entirely in black. And thus, the stage is set for the mish-mash of purples, yellows, oranges and teals throughout the pair’s top-half to make a bold statement. Cut-out midfoot panels take center stage in purple and are joined by aqua-colored Jumpman logos at the vamp; yellow enters the picture at the heel clip, which also features a lateral Jumpman logo; a red/orange combo adds flair to tongue with its most notable mark seen on the plush heel notch and underlay. All together, the divergent hues resemble the upcoming Air Jordan 2 honoring Michael Jordan’s earliest rivals. And while bottom-halves are left to enjoy a mostly plain white/black look, “Jade Green” Nike Air Max 200 units bring down some of the upper’s vibrancy.
