For a shoe that’s been documented as being one of Michael Jordan’s least favorite signature shoes, the Air Jordan 10 has enjoyed several special releases over the years and 2020 will be no different. Designed during #23’s brief stint playing minor league baseball, the Jordan 10 was built as a tribute to the Jumpman himself given that its outsoles highlight 10 career milestones of its eponymous legend from ’85 to ’94. Fittingly, upcoming releases of Jordan’s 10th signature sneaker will help commemorate sneaker-boutique SoleFly‘s 10th Anniversary, Super Bowl LIV in Miami, and even the Chicago-held NBA All-Star Weekend in February. And while there hasn’t been much news regarding the mid-cut model’s release calendar for the warmer months of the year, recent leaks reveal some of Jordan Brand’s plans for the AJ10 come Fall. Seen here as a mockup, the retro will receive a “Dark Mocha” arrangement split between leather and nubuck construction throughout the upper. “Infrared” is believed to add contrast to the Autumn-ready pair at the tongue branding, heel tab, and lateral outsole stripes, while also potentially appearing on detailing on the insole and inner lining.
Take a quick look at an early mock-up below and keep an eye out here and over at our Jordan Release Dates calendar for more updates on this Air Jordan 10 and other retros.
