Is This Nike Kyrie 6 A Tribute To The Air Jordan 4 “Bred”?

Is This Nike Kyrie 6 A Tribute To The Air Jordan 4 “Bred”?

Within all of the game’s championship-level superstars is just a little bit of Michael Jordan’s fiery spirit. While many have modeled their game’s after the six-time champion, regardless of position, only a few have managed to capture the killer instinct that made Jordan the single greatest basketball player in history. One player that will forever be cemented into that tier is Kyrie Irving, whose clutch three in the 2016 Finals iced the unthinkable comeback by Cleveland over Golden State and earned him his first and only NBA title. It appears that Kyrie, through his footwear, is paying homage to the GOAT with the Kyrie 6 as this upcoming colorway of black and university red is strikingly similar to famed Air Jordan 4 “Bred” from 1989. Although black and red is hardly an uncommon colorway choice for Kyrie’s footwear, the addition of that signature grey is a dead giveaway. See the official photos ahead and add these to your Kyrie 6 rotation on January 16th.
