Michael Le First teased on his Instagram stories only last week, OBJ‘s homage to the LSU Tigers is planned for a release much sooner than expected, going from his feet to yours all before we enter 2020. Color-wise, the pair nearly speaks for itself, dressing up Browns receiver’s Air Max 720 with school pride in a smooth mix of the college’s signature gold and purple tones. As the latter is seated more subtly — only finding place along the roped laces — it seems the warm tone is largely at the helm, affixing to the premium suede overlays that cover the vamp, toe cap, and heel. Branded embroidery at the tongue as well as the hang tabs just adjacent complement in the same coloring, while smooth leather elements and mesh bases stick to a neutral array of white on white. Midsoles do the same even in their embossed swoosh, with the clear air bubble refraining from dyeing with tint as it finishes in a tread just barely gum hinted. If you’re looking to grab Odell’s small token of appreciation to his alma mater, then sit tight for its Nike SNKRS release on December 28th.
